It’s the handiest, most reliable (non-Ruger MK Series) .22lr pistol I’ve ever shot. And comes with great adjustable sights.

I want to sell my G44 now. 😒

It’s my official “Not Dead Yet” gun when night hunting. I use it to dispatch not dead yet pigs and varmints when I walk up on them.

Sorry for the poor video quality. CPJ did as best he could to edit me out of the picture and the video suffered. Price of anonymity.

He did the best he could. 👍🏻👍🏻
Could have worn a ski mask. They don't have those in TX?

The correct number of .22LR firearms to have in inventory is either "ridiculous" or "obscene". If you aren't there yet, then you probably need one.

I read some years back that many ER surgeons consider the 22LR wound is often the most difficult to "fix". Zee's observation that the bullet "zig-zagged" upon entry was their common comment. While a .45 ACP FMJ may blow a hole straight through you, that gave the Doc(s) a limited area to have to work on. The general opinion seemed to be that the light weight and low initial velocity of a 22LR (velocity being substantially reduced upon impact) allowed the human muscles to contract faster than the bullet was penetrating. This led to some very strange wound paths, and often required multiple surgeons working on multiple lethal zones at the same time. One surgeon commented that he had a patient with a "non life threatening injury" to his left shoulder, but after the bullet had "spiraled around inside his rib cage" for a bit things were much worse.

Well I guess you’ve proven several times over that those often mentioned though to penetrate “grizzle” plates on the hogs vitals are a total myth…

Granted this was a sow without a shield. But, on a big boar, any adequate cartridge will do so. My biggest boar was with one shot from a .233 Rem.

My cousin Capt Stan (posted here a few times years ago) has killed more pigs than most 10 humans I know and he rolled a good sized boar with his then new XD 45 loaded with 185gr HPs for the same reason, science, to prove that any decent SD round will anchor a hog if you put it in the right place. One shot..

Here’s that work “need” again. Someone get the weed killer before our lawn is infested with it. Bullsi, can we get it added to the auto-censor?

Not to derail this thread but this has me thinking about the 380. My wife carries one and on occasion I do also. Would the 380 be more powerful than a 22. I would think so but maybe it wouldn't penetrate as well. I am interested in your thoughts.

I have no experience with a .380 except firing a couple at targets. Probably something we need to pig test. But, I’d have to find someone that owns one.
