This caught my eye. A short woods gun to compete with the Rem 7600 chambered in any of the new cartridges or a 308? 16 or 18" barrel in 6.5 Creedmore? Or even 6 arch. Center of balance between your shoulder and forehand? This would be a great woods gun or in my narrow woods stand. The mag 26" version would be a great elk gun. I mean why not? The 760 and 7600 are still popular in the eastern woods.
