The Bee stings!

Post by Elk Creek »

Sako and I have a range day today. I took the new to me 218 Bee out with a few other single shots. I loaded 50 rounds last night a 40 grain Hornady Vmax, 12.5 grains of Lil’gun and a match small pistol primer… Well they shoot! This is a FUN little rifle to shoot.

Pretty much amazing! First 5 down the pipe for me all but touched. First time I've ever shot a Martini-Henry action and it was sweet. Kind of want one now :D

50 yards! It was a long distance day. It was an introductory day… 🤣

I had to move the target stand far enough back so it wouldn’t get powder burns…

That's pretty cool. What sort of velocity are you getting with that load?

My Hornet load is 13 g Li'l Gun over a 35 gr. bullet. It's 3000 fps.

A pound of powder will go a long ways shooting that gun. I think that i need/want/desire one for myself. Maybe even to the front of the line.

I have a few lbs of li’l Gun somewhere around here and I’ve been wondering what the heck to do with it. This gives me ideas… thanks 👍
