Dead crow mystery solved

The Department of Fish and Game found there was a very large number of crows dead in the State. Fearing it was an avian flu outbreak they performed necropsyies on the birds. Results for the flu were negative but, they found, all the birds had paint on them, they had been struck by vehicles. After further investigation they discovered only 2% were struck by automobiles. A behavioral biologist studied crows to figure out what was happening and found when crows are eating road kill they always had another crow as a sentry looking out for danger. He discovered all the crows could say caw but, none could say truck.
