I Figured I was done buying handguns...

Post by Jayhawker »

then I visited out gun shop today..

I normally carry one of three 1911s when I'm out and about in town and a .38 snubby when I'm not...Of late I've been thinking about "something else" in .45 ACP....remembering how handy my Glock 36 was back when I was working...The proprietor told me he had not seen a 36 in awhile BUT (there's always a "BUT:) he could make me a good deal on a used Glock 30....and he did...

Got it home and went rooting around in my "old holster box" where I found a pretty much unused Galco Combat Master I had for my old SIG P220...The Glock "sorta fitted"...so I gave it a good soaking in some warm water, inserted the Glock in the wet holster, put those in a bag from my food saver and drew a vacuum. Left it for a couple of hours and ended up with a great fitting holster...oiling the holstervwith some olive oil now...

You were the one who convinced me to get my G36. I’ve loved it ever since.

Nice find. And great job repurpessing the holster. I probably would have went shopping and spent money

Works just fine as long as you don't saturate the leather with it or use it long term...just needed a bit after the soaking it got...
