Today's LGS takeaway
Sometimes it's great to pick up the clutter.
Today was like that.
Found a set of Colt grips 15 bucks and a presentation case for 25.
Second shop 2 more cases 100 bucks
And a bunch of 257 Robert's and 280 remington brass and ammo for 25 bucks......that was crazy good.
Oh and some prop rods.
This was definitely an Enzo economics day
Basically they pay you to take the stuff away.

I thought you had a 257! I’ll send you mine to play with. It just gathers dust since I got the 25-35.JunkCollector wrote: ↑Thu Dec 11, 2025 11:43 pmYeah well now I have to find a 257 Robert's so there is that....lol
I think I already had some ammo for one already too.
Re: Today's LGS takeaway
32-20 looks good. I’ve been wondering if it managed to stay with you being a Colt and all
Re: Today's LGS takeaway
Get a Bob! They are a great cartridge. Sadly mine gathers dust too from all the single shots we’ve been shooting mine is a Remington 722.

Before meeting you all that stuff would have been left there.Wambli Ska wrote: ↑Fri Dec 12, 2025 5:50 am Awesome haul brother. Sure wish you were closer so we could go scrounging together![]()
Seriously you taught me the art of just picking up free money.
I'm grateful to you.
IIRC.....It was a Tyler T grip you got for 5 bucks.
At the time I think you said they went for 40.
It clicked in.....I became a flipper.

Re: Today's LGS takeaway
It is now.....lol
Ammo is ridiculously expensive so if I have enough laying around that becomes irrelevant.
I also reload and have scrounged enough components for me, my kids, and probably my grandkids.
They'll be able to shoot free.....without worry or just having a walking stick.

Not actively looking
But now if I see one of those 722's
I'd be more inclined to think well I already can shoot it for free.
