I have a new hunting Partner!

Post by Freezer »

My daughter came over this morning to take my wife out to spend my retirement... After the greetings she proudly announced, "Elisa says she wants you to teach her to shoot and hunt." :o I'm ready to jump through the roof! She and her husband like the idea of her learning to handle and shoot firearms. I just picked up a piece of sheet metal thinking I should make another BB gun back stop, just in case. I taught my three childen to shoot and one loved to hunt. When they turned 9 yo I bought Daisy BB guns and fabricated wood stocks that fit them. As soon as I hit post, I'll be on Amazon ordering another! I have some plywood somewhere! My hunting partner has some black walnut in his garage... I have a project! I've been bored sitting here recovering from foot surgery. I have a hunting partner!

My 9 yo grand daughter wants to shoot and hunt!
It's great being Pappy!
Rent a kid is fantastic!
I need another 22!
Forget selling the 20 gauge!
Keep the Mossberg Patriot!
Keep the 22 mag for ground hog.
I need a kids bow.
My single six is going to get a workout with the BL22.
I need a bigger toy fund
......

Just for some backround, this is my family that lived in Finland. You folks helped me make a getaway kit for them. They gave it to another family when they moved. After two years of waiting for INS, my daughter and her family moved to the USA. My wife and I set them up well and they've been here a year. They both have good jobs and are getting established. Her daughters are our only grand children. I enjoy having them for sleep overs and dinners. I thought that was as good as it gets. My great nephew, Ryan, lives about two miles up the road. He has three daughters are near the same ages as my grand daughters and they go to the same school. Ryan is teaching them to hunt, I posted some pics of them. My nephew, Jason, called this morning and said his daughter, 13 yo, wants me to teach her how to walk in the woods and hunt, then my daughter came over... I may need both my walking stick and cane but by-golley, the game is on! I'm so damn excited I feel like a new man...Ok, like I'm 60 again.

This is my eldest grand daughter taken during a visit in 2022.
