Tried an Optic on my New EDC
So, I've never shot a red dot optic on a pistol before.
But the little beast comes cut for an optic so what the hell.
Put a Mecanik MO1 on it.
Zero was a snap. Irons are visible through the window.
10 yard group was a ragged hole.
Moved it out to 15 yards off hand at the end of the shooting sesson for the last 10 shots.
It will work.

Now to get one of those on a single action 32-20!
Re: Tried an Optic on my New EDC
I'd really like to try one but don't currently own a proper platform.

So far, I’m leaning on the Shoe Store. Haven’t jumped into the personal arena other than revolvers. But, the Shoe Store provides.Wambli Ska wrote: ↑Thu Nov 30, 2023 4:00 amYep, just sold my P365 and will replace it with a 43X MOS. The 48 MOS is now my dedicated EDC…

I may get some slides for my personal Glocks down the road and optics to go on them. But, currently no need.

A quick trip to Justsomedude as the need/want arises and no new slides needed.

I'm starting to feel the peer pressure!

Re: Tried an Optic on my New EDC
There were a couple of issues early on that were solved by my slightly buffing the feed ramp to round off a sharp edge. Now it's 100 percent if I slingshot the slide. It wants to hang up if I use the slide stop lever. But I was trained to slingshot so it doesn't matter to me. It's snappy and after 100 rounds I'm ready to stop.
