When I was planning to not be "working" I upped the taps. This is the south side of the house with 23 taps on 5/16 line. I have a short 5 tap run to the west and 8 on the north side all up on line.

Potentially 8 more with buckets if I get inclined. I figure I averaged 1/3 gal per tap per day. The barrel should hold the 23 taps for about a week, likely bucket the other two though I have a second bbl set up on a pallet and 2 more cleaned and in the barn. I took the wood that was on the carryall floor off so I can back under the pallet, lift and drive away.

So, kids, dogs, and deer have not clothes lined themselves yet? Otherwise, you might be cooking sap awhile this spring 👍

Shoulder height on me. Deer are passing under, kids are mostly out of state. Shooting for 3 gal syrup this year.
