Got the chassis and receiver today… scope should be here next week.
Before I order a trigger, I want to see what Howa is working with these days

So - very basic to start
1500 action and barrel
MDT field Chassis ( I like the weight niche it is in)
Arken LH4

I want to see what that is like out of the box before I do anything else.

I will most likely put a Timney trigger in before the year is over. That 1.5lb pull is crisp

If I’m gonna spend the coin for a new barrel, I may as well go all in with a Lija or Krieger.

Nice. I’m kinda jealous I’ve had my barreled action for a while now. Been waiting for my chassis since December 3rd…

My Howa trigger breaks clean at about 3 lbs. they are a 2 stage trigger. I’ll probably do a Timney as well. But I’ll work with what it has for now.

The Oryx. Howa mini action in 6mm ARC.

I looked at the Oryx. And, it got damn good reviews. I can’t believe it is a pound heavier than the field stock.
