looks a lot like my Weaver 330. 3/4 rings and a redfield base and you can mount it to anything. Cool thing it they are cross HAIRS. Mine has an inclusion near the bottom, needs conditioner. Thin blonde or thick dark mediterranean? You didn't even ask what made the hairs so cross Yanked em out by th...

These arent ever going to fit in a magazine. I got talked into them by a lady who was sponsored by Berger and the gunsmith who built my LR gun around the campfire at Reade which is an interesting place to listen if you are into competition. More knowledge was forgotten by that group and most will ha...

This is what it might have looked like before the fire. I won't be able to remove all the smoke stain but I'll try to get close without changing the wood to metal fit. I've always thought a little history is a good thing. I'm about half way through with this project, I'm waiting on parts and will f...

I rebarreled the service rifle a week or so ago. It had a Wilson, which are good barrels, they just reach the end of their useful life a bit faster than some others. For short 2-300 lines its OK, but I was getting some wonkey stuff at 600. That means that if it aint done, its about to be. So I figur...

Best use of a Krag in a movie by Hollywood. One of my favorite books/movies ever. Image.jpg Hollywierd at work. His sling is 180 out. Dogs go inboard and needs another keeper. At least the long end and short end are oriented in the right direction. Not a match thing, just standard 1907 sling setup.

0042_CMPSpringfield6Aug10.jpg Ok, Krags are a weird thing. Short life but repurposed a lot. Because that one is cut down and w/o a saddle ring does NOT mean its not a factory Krag. Many were cut for prison use and for Philippine troops. Some went to WW1 for rear echelon, US troops. Others went to N...

Just don’t try to tell me everything is sweetness and light when it damn sure ain’t in my world. Oh, and the large percentage of households making $100kand less? They are hurting right now. $1200-1500 starter home prices, $300-600/mo USED car payment. $1k/mo childcare(2 kids). Then add in groceries...

That 500 dollar build will be the best 2300 you ever spent 4700 on.

Could find out. Had him do one for me on the 6.5 Skan but there were a LOT of other things involved. From what he said at the start Rem had some good and some not so good. The not so good were spendy. Its nice. I know him and his work so when I went to build, I didnt ask. They guy is Mike, Buffalo V...

CPJ 2.0 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 04, 2026 8:19 pm Don’t ever shoot a custom action. Unless you want to buy one. I knew better. But did it anyway.

OR a over the counter trued by someone who knows what hes doing. You never knew how much a 700 sucks until you do.

I shot a “practice@ shot of bullseye at Notth Canton the week before Perry. To the right was the Marine Corps, to the left was the Army MU. I landed all my shots on the scoring ring for the first ever course of fire. The Marine Sgt next to me said, “first time ever?” “Yup” “well, poop keep this up ...

Man Ohio in July… sticky! Glad you’re having a great time, great shooting! The son came out to shoot, pretty well wiped out all of my gatoraid zero. Wasnt awful. Mid and low 80's. None of that makes any sense to me. But, I’m glad you’re shooting.
