You mean that you didnt automatically assume it was the US Marshall's using a drone to surveil you.

Re: I just had an interesting encounter.
Several years ago I was out doing some yard work and drinking a beer at my place when a drone started flying and hovering directly above me. I flipped it the bird, it left. A bit later it showed up again. I flipped it the bird again and gave it a “cheers” with my beer. It left again. A little later ...

Re: Suppressor Question
I agree with what the other guys have said. Get a 30 cal can. More versatility. Mine is plenty quiet on my 223s, 20 Practical, 6 ARC and 6.5 PRC. As far as barrel length, yeah, get one rated for your barrel length. When I got my SilencerCo 30 cal can, it said it was rated for down to a 10” barrel. A...

Yes. Solid time with solid dudes. It’s just a financial drain to make the trip! Well not the TRIP, but the aftermath of buying stuff you were enabled into buying. I’ve decided to not say “I’m not buying that, I don’t need that” etc, and instead will say “lemme see this cork stuffer.” Then saying “f...

Re: Hunting Pictures Thread
:D Yeah. A good shooting rifle and a bit of luck worked out well. I just plugged all the info into my ballistic app, dialed, got wind calls from Zee and sent it. I was extremely happy with the results. The rifle needs a few adjustments. A better scope mount and slightly different scope position will...

It does suck that This Old Tony doesn’t post much any more. Really enjoy his stuff and humor. Same with Mark Novak. Absolutely check him out. Rarely posts anything. But he’s got a lot of stuff worth watching on his page if you’re into gunsmithing. I like his wit and sense of humor as well. I also w...

Steve Morris is an engine builder I watch. Builds engines that cost more than new trucks. Drag and drive engines, where dudes will drive 250 miles to a track, click off a 6 second 1/4 mile and drive 250 to the next. Cletus McFarland because he does cool poop with cars. Most of them I “watch” while ...

Also, we’ve got my boy HOOKED! Since we got back, he’s been talking about wanting to build or buy a rifle, tripod and thermal. He’s just gotta work it all out, having a fiancé and a wedding coming up this summer… poor guy..

I’ve been super busy since we got back and didn’t take the time to post here. We had an amazing time. My boy hasn’t stopped talking about it since. Which is awesome. He had a great time and made me proud. It was tough on him, but he didn’t complain a bit. Just loved every minute of it. First, him co...

🤣 Zee has a way of getting what he wants… Been my French modeling manager for a year or 12… Yeah. He did enable me into buying that rifle years ago. I shot it some. Not a lot. Probably less than 100 rounds out of it. It is a nice rifle. It’s amazing how things work out. He talked me into it… I enjoy...

Still wearing shorts and sandals… of course.
Meanwhile, I’m wearing a Tshirt, flannel shirt, light North Face jacket and vest. It wasn’t crazy cold. But I won’t be the cold guy..

The chamber cast has a good chance of pulling it out if there’s something in there.

My clothes still smelled like skunk the next day.. And notice how Zee didn’t post a picture of the one he shot? I didn’t make him pose with his. And take my sweet azz time..
But, the skunks definitely need to be thinned out. There’s a bunch of them.

Re: Oryx Chassis
Great price. I have two Oryx chassis. One Savage in 308 and one Howa 1500 in 6 ARC. Very functional. As CPJ mentioned, putting an ARCA rail on it, you have to deal with the slight curve in the bottom of the forend. I think I used 6” ARCA rails and just tighten them so they bend slightly to the conto...

Re: Well I took the plunge with Starlink.
My sister and BIL recently went with Starlink. They’ve been very happy with it so far. Of course, they switched from DSL to Starlink, so they got a massive upgrade. I was a fortunate recipient of the effort to run fiber optic lines to rural areas a few years ago. They ran the line on the poles all t...

Congrats, Scott.
I retired as of October 1. I stay busier now than when I was working. Almost 4 months in, I only occasionally forget what day of the week it is.

Re: New mold ordered (Oh BigSlug...)
I loaded some 320gr cast gas checked bullets from Matt’s in my 45-70 Sharps. They had the penta style HP like that. At 2120 FPS, they are EXPLOSIVE!!! I recovered a chunk of lead and the gas check inside the second jug. Combined, they weighed 82 grains. Probably a good thing to run them at slower s...

Re: And so it begins. Lyman selling silencers
Get 'em while you can. The second the Democrats have the majority again we'll see the tax stamp come back, AND adjusted for inflation. I agree. I’m wondering how supply will hold up to the demand these next few years. And, think about this. Adjusted for inflation, $200 in 1934 is approximately clos...
