I’d vote for him even though I think he’s one of the largest douche bags in history for ONE reason.N454casull wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2024 2:13 am I was on the city council many years ago. The mayor at the time was in my opinion a giant douche. He brought something up in city council one time that I fought against simply because it was his idea and he’s an idiot. A mentor so to speak asked me what about the policy/plan I did not agree with. After getting past the “well he’s an idiot” phase I came to realize his plan was actually a pretty good one. It was pointed out to me I was voting against the man not the policy/plan. The plan was a solid one no matter who came up with it. So when it came time to vote I voted yes surprised a lot of people. Taught me a lesson in life there’s a lot of people I dislike but I need to take my personal feeling out of it and look at the bigger picture. Do I like Trump as a person nope, but the bigger picture is personally and my business were much better under his administration. So who am I voting for, Trump the person, or his policies/plan. I’ve gotten to the point that I think not voting for someone because “I don’t like him” is frankly childish and short sighted.
Supreme court picks if one or more retires/dies off in the next 4 years. That would make a difference.
The rest, meh. Who knows what would have /will happen with _______(fill in whatever) We ain’t failed yet, contrary to the “but THIS ELECTION IS DIFFERENT! THE COUNTRY IS OVER IF ______ WINS/LOSES!” mantra.
But, the whole never mind the due process statement he made, I’ll take my chances. I won’t vote for a person who’s job is to protect the constitution….who is in favor of violating it.
Petty? Dont GAF. And to make yall rest easy, my vote from Missouri won’t matter. The state will go for Trump.
I just find it fascinating the amount of worship for a politician, ANY politician. It’s like a crowd of screaming girls at a Beatles concert. The mind boggles! How a person sees another person they have never met as a hero because they ran for/won a political office is crazy. Someone who will likely never speak to that person. Who that person doesn’t give two poop about. I honestly don’t get it.
But, the big Trump flags flying in the back of trucks DOES tell me who I need to avoid.
