What’s for dinner? Cooking Thread!
Re: What’s for dinner? Cooking Thread!
Hit up the Indian spice place for some spices, and found the garlic pickle. It’s not what I think of as a pickle. Or even pickled garlic.
Not sure how it’s eaten traditionally, but I flopped some in a pan with some chicken.
Good stuff. You best like garlic though.

Smoking some chuck roast as an experiment. 250-275 smoker temp over pecan wood, rubbed with “The Salt Lick” original rub.
We will see how this turns out

Yup- chuck roast is something you should try on the smoker. Smoke it to 160ish internal, wrap in smoker till it hits 205-210 internal then wrap in towels and let rest for 30-60 minutes. Reminds me of brisket point.

I've got a HUGE pot of venison chili in the crock pot. Used home canned tomatoes.
I haven't decided if I'm going to cook a pan of cornbread to go with it, or not

Just had Italian meat balls traditional recipe but with elk and a little pork sausage. Pasta and italian red sauce is excellent with the elk. I had never had that combo.
Re: What’s for dinner? Cooking Thread!
My stepsons are coming for dinner Sunday. We are having meatball subs (per request by eldest). My wife makes her own marinara.
She's making a quick recovery from her surgery. Will probably be able to eat a little bit of a sub.

He bought them for him. Nothing gay about a guy buying another guy underbritches.
No more gay than being around the guy who had his underbritches bought by another dude while dude is skinning a pig in ONLY those britches.

Only reason I didn’t butcher the two flea pigs in my chonies was because it was cold at 3:30 in the morning! I wore shorts and t-shirt with no shoes instead.
