Remington Model Seven.
Remington Model Seven.
My dad is continuing downsize and “thinning out” to the few that he will shoot. Dad was going to sell it outright but I had to intervene. We came to an understanding and I ended up with a pretty darn nice Model Seven in 243! I had an extra leupold 2-7 compact so it got installed. Man can’t wait to get to the range!!

I have a timney trigger for one of those. Beautiful rifle.
Re: Remington Model Seven.
The heck you say? I do need to clean the trigger it’s a little gummed up right now. Old oil I’d guess…Justsomedude wrote: ↑Tue Nov 28, 2023 3:43 am I have a timney trigger for one of those. Beautiful rifle.

Beautiful rifle, nicely polished blued steel and walnut never goes out of style.
Re: Remington Model Seven.
That’s a pretty rifle! Any idea of the year or barrel twist?

If you're interested, let me know. It's brand new. I mistakenly got it when I was building a model 600 for a guy. Probably sell it half price.Elk Creek wrote: ↑Tue Nov 28, 2023 3:59 amThe heck you say? I do need to clean the trigger it’s a little gummed up right now. Sweet!
My Dad started running a SS/synthetic one in 7-08 in ongoing efforts to reduce his walking load. Damn thing feels like it's made of helium and spiderwebs. Hunting and range trips often contain statements like, "Dad, you forgot to bring a rifle - I think this case is empty".

WWJMBD?
I believe we should stand on Ceremony. . . while our friends handcuff the sanctimonious little prick and take him away.

I am jealous! I really like that rifle and the 2x7 compact has got to be the perfect scope.
Re: Remington Model Seven.
It’s not that light but it’s super handy and definitely lighter than most! A fly weight for sure.Bigslug wrote: ↑Tue Nov 28, 2023 12:44 pm Sweet!

Beautiful classic and the perfect t scope for it. Glad you and your dad worked it out. It would have been a sin to let that one leave the family!

Looking good. I like walnut, personally, and the .243 is a great cartridge. Keep us informed on how it shoots.
Re: Remington Model Seven.
It's a nice rifle. I don't know why you threw it out in the yard? Not like it's a .270 or a Savage.....

That is what my first reaction was too. Thanks!Wambli Ska wrote: ↑Wed Nov 29, 2023 4:45 am Beautiful classic and the perfect t scope for it. Glad you and your dad worked it out. It would have been a sin to let that one leave the family!
