Re: The new XM-7 Rifle for the Army...

Don’t discount Gene’s Vietnam experience. We may be fighting differently now, but Gene’s era of war fighting was stuffed full of engagements and experiences that make most of my GWOT experiences look like simple training exercises

Re: The new XM-7 Rifle for the Army...

There may come a time when battlefields are on level ground with good roads for personnel carriers so soldiers can ride to the battlefield, get out, fire a mag or two and retire. I don't think that's possible. Historically, in places like Afghanistan which has a lot of mountains, weight is an issue...

Re: The new XM-7 Rifle for the Army...

I’m not a fan of SIG. I think the pistols that we bought from them are poop, however are they are better than the Beretta. With that said, they did a damn good job with the 6.8 and the new rifles. You’ll see a lot of gray beards on the Internet, especially the ones from the Vietnam era, complain abo...

Re: New orleans

The purpose of a vehicle born IED is catastrophic damage through explosion and subsequent shrapnel. You are not going to achieve either of those with a Tesla truck. You’re gonna pick a car with a lot of sheet metal and aluminum and packet with real explosives. A Tesla truck creates a really hot fire...

Re: New orleans

I’m not one to deep dive into conspiracies, even though I’ve read the pentagon papers… But, I can tell you without a single doubt in the very fiber of my body, that Green Beret did not conduct the attack. There is way too much wrong with the “evidence” presented. From the selection of vehicle, metho...

Not everyone Sean Ryan has on is legit. But, as SEALS go, Sean is a pretty good dude. Sarah is a someone that everyone should listen to when she talks. Especially in matters of Security and terror. Her analysis and ability to read the tea leaves is almost unmatched https://open.spotify.com/episode/6...

Howa 1500 on an MDT

Sometime this year, I scored a Howa 1500 barrel and action from Brownells. I dropped it into the MDT Field Stock, put an Arken scope on top, and strapped an aero Precision can on it. Absolute nail driver. I haven’t pushed it beyond 300m yet. But I can drill 4in pie plates all day at 300m. So, if any...

Re: Ruger... made a Glock clone?

The only Rugers I have ever liked are their wheel guns. The GP100 is unmatched in my opinion. Every Ruger semi auto I’ve held and shot felt like an abomination - such as the P89. Of the all the Glock clones I have fondled, I really like the PSA models.. though to me they feel more like Glock meets F...

Re: …. Have been greatly exaggerated.

Well, by the time it all wraps up…I’ll be at 29 years, so I’ll lose about 2% on my retirement. But, I am fairly certain I’ll get a good VA percentage and DOD percentage, so I may break even. I don’t think I’ll have to work. But I will work so I can spoil grandkids. GS11 range would be about perfect -

JK 105 CCX

So, I was at Dense urban terrain seminar in May, a few of us had a discussion about small room and hallway engagements while touring a building in Lower Manhattan. It got me to think further, that if I had to engage while in my truck or house, I’m positive I can get the first two off but after that,...

Well… I had a stroke of genius…

I looked up the tag office number and called… why TF I didn’t do that first.

I’m not a smart man (read in Forrest Gump voice)

When I sign it over, I don’t have to have it notarized, do I?

And if the ex wife is on the title and there isn’t a spot for a second owner to sign.. where does she sign?

Speaking of Dogs

I read an article today talking about tourist and other do-gooders causing Ranchers headaches. They will see a ranch dog from the road, think it is abandoned, and then try to rescue it…

Then.. Ranchers have to figure out where their trained and seasoned dog is..

Re: Went to a local gun show, came away with …

A guy was across the street, had them in the back of a Jeep. Pups, Jeep…. Let’s go take a look. Dad and mom were there. They were about as large as full bred German Shepards. I did the pinch test on all four of em… paw paw always said if you can’t get the runt, pinch the web in their feet. If they d...
