It was either 6061 or 7075 but I can't remember which but it did have some punch to it.

Well, I don't think I've ever seen a pellet (or bullet) that big before. At what size do you stop calling them pellets and start calling them bullets?Justsomedude wrote: ↑Tue Sep 12, 2023 9:42 pm ...
The pistol is now reliable and can be shot without issue. Also cut dovetails and installed sights. I bought some 83 grain .358 pellets that won't register on my chronograph that maxes out at 1100fps! It's an airgun chrono. This thing is ridiculous. This valve isn't as powerful as the experimental one but it's close and it's reliable. I thought I was testing 148 grain bullets but they are 158 grainers that I was getting almost 800fps at.20230912_173116.jpg
Any idea what the hardness number of those projectiles are? I'm guessing around 5 BHN if they're close to pure lead, otherwise, I'm guessing they're a bit harder.
I'd like to see a "lead HP" type bullet would do, got any water jugs handy? I suppose if it's moving fast enough it should be pretty impressive.
Great work on that airgun project
When you consider it mostly finished, send it off to Zee for a well documented piggy test

I ordered enough material, including two more bbl blanks to make 2 more pistols. These are gonna be for sale. They won't be cheap.

I wouldn't expect a specialty gun like that to on any retailers "Clearance" rack. Keep us updated.

It's so much more manageable with the stock.
