Re: Pop can at 100 revisited.
Then on to the most difficult target in the world for a .22 At 100 yards, the pop can. Very tough to hit. Basically impossible. You forgot about Dan's rules. First shot, no warm up or practice, just get out of the truck and take one shot. No tricked out stuff, high powered scopes, or fancy rests. B...

Re: Sako AV scope mounts.
Sako, I appreciate the offer but I finally figured out what will work. After some questions on the Sako collectors forum, it appears CPJ was mostly right about most models being similar. I actually spoke with Leupold, Talley, Sportsmans Warehouse, Brownells, and Midway and they all appeared to be re...

IMG_2306.jpeg If you can use them they are your. Are those bases and rings or just rings? And how high are they? I think I need a medium height as I have a Zeiss 3x15x42. If those will work for me, I'd gladly take them. If you want the EAW 1" quick release mounts you can have them, I understan...

Re: Sako AV scope mounts.
If it’s the same as a Tikka, (they are same same, right?) then I do know there is a couple different possible thread pitches based on the year made. Ones metric and ones not. May apply, may not. I wish, it seems many Sako models use a wide variety of mounts. Some models are the same as a Tikka, man...

Sako AV scope mounts.
I've got a Sako AV in 7mm rem mag that I bought in the late 80's and I've been using the EAW quick release mounts that it came with but I want to lighten the rifle and the EAW'S are very heavy.. I don't know much about Sako's but it seems that AV's and mounts for them aren't so common. At one time T...

Sorry for your loss. Deb told me about it earlier when she saw it on Facebook. Bella was definitely a little sweetheart.

Re: Compact 45ACP Experience?
I've got a friend that brings a G30s out to the ranch regularly and I've probably got 100 rounds through it and it's not at all unpleasant to shoot. I'm not a big Glock fan but I like it and I'll probably end up with one. It weighs a good bit less than the P12 that I used to carry.

There's bad people in every occupation and referring to Leo's as pigs is painting with a wide brush. All anti cop, hippy protesters and ner do wells paint with that brush.

Being that I'm not one of the "cool kids", I don't really GAF about speaking up. To refer to Leo's as pigs is pretty inappropriate and God only knows how many people linefinder banned on the previous forum for less offensive posts. It amazes me that over 157 people have looked at this post...

Re: Finally Primers
It appears that reality brought this thread to a screeching halt. Reality the day you checked, wasn’t the reality the past few years. Unless you checked then. Which is possible. A friend was looking for shotgun primers over a year ago and they showed them then. Ammoseek is a search engine, not a se...

I've been looking at them for a while and I'll probably splurge and get myself one as a retirement present in about a year. From a bit of research, I did learn that they use a lot of electricity and it's worth it to buy a large one that runs on 220volts and running the biggest batches possible. I li...

Yeah poking his head up multiple times for photo ops was incredibly brilliant, especially since they (obviously) weren’t sure if the shooter was alone. And, here’s a meme for you. I'm disappointed Chris, your TDS has led you to think that someone showing courage is stupid. I wish you the best with ...

Re: What’s for dinner? Cooking Thread!
Ate out tonight. Had a half dozen oysters, fried mullet, cheese grits and fried green tomatoes. I have fried mullet, cheese grits, and potato salad almost every Friday and a friend of mine used to tell me "friends don't let friends eat bait." When we lived in Milton Florida, there was a r...

Re: .45 ACP after market Glock Mags?
I have the FM upper with a JoeBob receiver and of my three 26 round magazines, even after much tinkering, I've never been able to empty a full mag without a hiccup. The Glock mags work flawlessly. I agree, but, 13 rounds goes fast and reloading mags is annoying The main issue was the mags locking i...

I did a bunch of digging around on that and it's a 457 MTR and it's a pretty desirable model that's hard to find in stock anywhere. They do make it in a left hand model also. That's officially on my short list.
